Captain Dan is the owner/operator of Nothing But Time Sailing Charters, LLC. He possesses a 25 gross ton Master Captain license with sailing endorsement issued by the United States Coast Guard.
Captain Dan grew up boating on the lakes and rivers of beautiful upstate NY. After serving in the USMC, he moved to sunny Florida to complete Indian River state college for Physical Therapy. While living there, his passion of sailing was established. Sailing on the intercoastal waterway, open Atlantic ocean, even racing in the local regatta’s. After enjoying all that Florida has to offer, and missing his beloved New York state of mind, Captain Dan returned home to NYS. He started racing J22 sailboats on Lake George, NY, and sailing the majestic Hudson like Henry Hudson did, even traversing the great Champlain canal on several occasions.
Captain Dan saw a need to promote sailing/cruising excursions for the people of the Hudson River Valley to enjoy. In turn, Nothing But Time sailing Charters was conceived. Being a life long steward of the sea, Captain Dan promotes sustainability in the eco system of the Hudson River, providing maritime knowledge and education to the region at large, promotes safe boating. Captain Dan’s tales of the history of the Hudson River Valley are sure to keep you entertained and informed.
